The last one I did of these years ago we put the spare underneath just behind the rear bumper, I think we used a Nissan Pathfinder bracket which has a wind up chain, drilled a hole in the side bumper for a long removable crank handle to wind it up and down

This is a fwd Master so not lots of clearance under the rear.
Mine also has a sizeable steel extra bumper come step come tow bar (which I may yet remove / modify) - so not sure an under floor spare is the way to go.

Under floor spares are also always a PITA to load/unload, & are inevitably manky af to boot.

You can say that again ! The spare on my Combo van was so rusty, I had to throw it away.

I have got a spare spare for the Master if you need one. Tyre is about ten years old though, but would get you out of trouble.

Got my DC sub-board (blade fuses) for the rear & bed dc stuff hooked up today, & made a start on my water tank.
Grasped the nettle, & got the hole saws out and made holes in my new 6mm Polypropylene water tank.
It's now got a 0-190 ohm float Sender, a Water Gauge to suit, and a Fill Point so you can put a Hozelock straight on (via a stop valve to prevent any spills when unconnected & in transit) - and a 1/2" BSP outlet Valve.

There's the small issue that we couldn't be much further apart (East-West) if we tried! You're in Kent, & if I was 30 miles further West I'd be in the Irish Sea

Everything I want is usually at the other end of the country too. I think the nearest I have been to you is Wrexham or Birkenhead. Used to live in Cumbria, but no reason to go up your way ATM.

I'm sure something will turn up locally, as shipping costs are the killer, and they are quite heavy !

If you do go shopping for one though, be careful, because some of the earlier ones had 15 inch wheels that look exactly the same as your 16 inch ones.

It's always been a pleasant part of the country down here, though our powers-that-be in Cardiff are doing their best to wreck it all.
If you do ever get to visit, then I advise you to be Eagle-eyed and super-vigilant once you leave the M4 - cos Carmarthenshire has become "Bandit Country" for the last 10-years, & getting worse (Scamera Bandits are everywhere, and all the new 20mph and other reduced zones means your Licence could be savaged).
I wish I could say I was exaggerating!

The lid is held on by magnets. The top right magnet made a bid for freedom but it still works.

Yesterday I was asked if I could repair a badly corroded part of an outboard.
It is not pretty but hopefully it will be ok.

Milled it flat(ish)

There were also two pinholes that ended up a bit larger, used the MIG as couldn't really get in to clean well enough for Tig. It is ugly but hopefully will be ok.

Made my arbour press more British and removed some of its teeth

Now I can have the handle in whatever position I fancy no matter the object in question being pressed!

Just made this, simple test pattern from some 8mm 5083 to see if my measurements are correct before I machine the part out of some 2.5" x 2" x 150mm Aluminium as I don't have a lot left so don't want to waste it
