You can. Doesn't work well when the vacuum or machines are running though, & you're back to wifi & internet connectivity reliance when using Alexa or Google hubs for control.

That's why I ended up going with that hub & those switches. More versatile & reliable.

Fair comment. I use mine remotely though, so no internet, tuff titty.

Must admit, I'd never paid zigbee gear any heed until recently, but I'm impressed with the versatilty & range of gear. I've replaced all my wifi plug sockets with zigbee ones now, & that iHost is an impressive bit of kit.

I notice the saw horse, I have never used one... Im of the opinion that if a log is long enough to need cutting, Im not lifting it onto a horse !


A few weeks back I had a chain come off, bend the catcher and twist one of the cutters.
I noticed my new Echo has a round plastic catcher which should do the job equally but without bending or ruining a chain, so started making one. The position was not ideal so needed a bracket to offset it to the same position
Not ideal, I'll need to counterbore the bracket for the self tapper head.

I made this exhaust about 4 years ago.

Today it got fitted to the tractor.

In the past 4 years the tractor had been used by contractors who fitted their own "straight through" stack.

The owner has now got it back and is looking to maybe sell it without the horrendous noise of the straight through pipe.

It sounds ok.

Never made the pegs today but did anodise, etch and fit them today, I will need to now strip and re-anodise/dye the brake pedal to match .

Finally after 17 months finished this,I had one telegraph pole in stock so just bought one more,the steel stubs were offcuts of channel and u/beam,then old pipe flanges as baseplates with scrap bits of 16 round as grouting spigots,then galvanised,one gable end was iroko offcuts from a mate 20 years ago? The gable shown was tantalised from the merchant,roof being the most expensive.
i do have a wet patch size of a car bonnet which I’ll dig out and stone,the rest is a lovely dirt floor now nicely firm.

No,just an exessive overhang into the hedge,roofs been on since early October and proved effective.

After a lot of internal arch repairs I got round to tacking a new outer on last night.

I’ve got the same to do on the other side + some boot floor repairs.

It was straightforward and the same internally as the standard massey part.
It was also hundreds of £'s cheaper to do it in stainless than buy the massey bits.

@Tuppers that looks like a 240 Volvo? I think I still have a home made tool for changing the bushes on the rear axle/radius arm somewhere on the shed. I had 3 240 estates the last one was a 240GLT, that was a really nice car, but rust finally started to take its toll, so sold it on for £100. Had it 10 years though & put over 100k on it, so got my monies worth out of it.

Doesn't look to be a right lot different to a straight pipe if it's just perf all the way up, or are there baffles to make it go into the outer chamber then back into the main pipe? Ours is a 4cyl turbo so probably quieter than a 6 pot anyway.

Yes, it has a number of "discs" joining the perf to the outer.

The gas expands to the outside diameter through the perf then gets forced back to the diameter of the perf tube to go past the disc.

It's the same internal set up as the original and just quietens it down enough.

Got the linkages made for the drill sharpener , seems to work well , now just need to make a quick setting flag thingy

Well that and some other minor remedial fixes (like the broken stud on the main spindle)

The customer does,uses putty,although it’s being stolen by the local birds .
