Not today, but I needed to get 12 litres of ATF into the gearbox of a Ford Ranger and the access is a bit pants, so I made a dispenser out of a foam fire extinguisher, an airline fitting and some clear polythene tube.

Works an absolute treat.
Just adjust the air pressure and use the handle to control the oil flow.

The Ranger sheared the flex plate on the torque converter and emptied the full contents of the gearbox.
Seems to be a common problem.

Painting and a pressure relief valve will have to wait but certainly on the to-do list.

Partly for music when doing menial tasks, but more importantly to have onsite Comms when I'm climbing and doing rigging jobs.

Fiddly bloody jack to solder. The lidl rechargeable soldering iron is the ideal companion to the M12 iron.

This is a V6 I'm told I can have a v4 and 3 additional v6s or 4s which will allow full duplex Comms.

Sounds like you need one of the Cardo Packtalk units; they have full-duplex permanently. We use them on motorcycles and you can get a full day in a group of up to 15, out of a full charge. Link to your phone, play music as well (the comms over-rides the music, and a phone call over-rides comms).
I'm sure Cardo actually do a version intended for emergency services etc..

I took it from your PTT comment that it wasn't totally hands-free... and you said it wasn't full-duplex
Sometimes think a lot of this technology is a lot more expensive than it ought to be, nor is it as durable as it ought to be (micro USBs as charge connectors FFS ) - I think Apple started the overpricing trend

So you have the v6 which is two unit full duplex
Or chuck in a v4 unit you get 4 way full duplex

But for ground guys I want them to have ptt I don't have to hear a saw buzzing away, being that I sub climb I want the handpiece so I can give it to the most responsible groundie.

Aha yeah, fair point. We grumble at each other if someone (usually me) leaves a visor up and the mic picks up the wind noise.

I recently bought a cheerful Chinese catapult with wrist brace and what looks like two surgical elastics as propulsion, in order to get wires over trees.
Quite pleased to find that my muscle memory is still accurate, after a fifty year gap.

A Little grapple. I've some mesh to drag out of a local river deposited there by some lazy fencers who couldn't be bothered to take it away at the end of the job.
If I can hook it out I've a nice little job lined up for it. Time will tell.

The paint and fittings arrived for the painting tool box. First, 2 coars of primer and two top coats. The cheap builders merchant's ply on the front and back is really nasty but it will do.

The handle and catches arrived from Pen Elcon, they supply bits for making cabs for the music industry. Look pretty bog standard to me . I already had some cheap corner protectors but they were antiqued so painted them satin black. I wish I had painted the hinges black two, I guess I still can.

Next onto fitting out the inside I have a few ideas. I quite like the contrast between the painted outside and wood interior.
