I cant remember the details, but I was unsucsessful trying to use a "P" positive angle rake bar with "C" inserts. but the insert pocket is normally tilted over about 10-15 degrees for positive rake C inserts.
All dependant on bore size too, I think neatural are normally used on bigger bores, the insert pocket may be flat..?

It's incredibly expensive in my opinion. And the powder most likely is not suitable for color hardening. Granules are needed for spotty migration of phosphorus into the metal. However, this statement requires verification. I don't see any difficulty in granulating the powder.

Good point, i hadn't thought of the rake angle of the insert pocket.

(What i meant by the 55° is the included angle of the insert tip, it's a D shape insert and i assumed a neutral rake by the pin in the holder.)

I've just checked and the insert sits flat, so maybe it is for positive rake inserts? It'll mostly be used for ally anyway, so high positive rake angle.

No. For simple cementation there are simpler methods. This is for experiments on color case hardening.

Some progress on the part helical staircase and the short flight is actually finished now.
The real hard task will be marrying up the 50/25 half round rail,which has to be continuous from basement to ground floor to mezzanine,2 of the bends are compound angles on a helix!

I wouldn't joke about these topics. While doing military archaeology, I saw plowed battlefields strewn with vertebrae, teeth, femurs and boots with nails and small foot bones inside, and this layer continued to a depth of 1 meter. Every 20 cm of the soil surface there was a bone sticking out.

where the horses are kept someone who does the hay for a favour just the working of it get the bales aslong as 30 are left. not bad deal for ghim i wouldnt say.
