Tree is down
18" diameter and my saw only has a 16" bar to make it more interesting.

You should have no problem felling a tree diameter nearly double the length of your guide bar , there are methods you know .
have stripped a bit of bark to go in your survival kit , tis a silver birch isn't it .

I like that simple roller idea on the R/H side I may jot that down in my ideas ( to steal ) pad ..........

A pair of speaker bracket’s,75/6 steel,bent cold initially but the radius was too big,ended up hot bending.
staggered at how much this customer spent on these and the speakers.

Today I mad a couple of clips to fix the heat shield to the fuel tank on my Alfa 159.

Made out of alloy because the heat shields is aluminium.
The originals are spring steel and eat away the alloy.

While I was at it, I blasted and painted the fuel tank straps.

Anything like the original Alfa one on my 2007 version, it's made of surprisingly thick metal and will last a good while longer. Its the flexible joints up front (two one my V6 version) that fail . . . but so far, a good dollop of high temp silicon has "fixed" one of mine.

The exhaust does look a bit out of place after I repaired and painted most of the rusty bits, but I'm not the sort of person to change stuff for the sake of it.
As @bricol says I thinks there's life in it yet.

I even thought about painting it, not to extend it's life, but to see how long epoxy lasts with and without prep, but it's too late for that now as its up for the test next Tuesday and test dates are hard to come by over here.

Had the slater at the roof today as there was a broken slate. Got that fixed and got the broken slate from him to test some laser etching on. He also gave me a few others for later

Anyway here is the result, border round the pic is 150mm x 100mm approx and it took 1.5 hrs to do.

It takes a while to do so...
Small keyrings in stainless are fairly quick, I take £25 for first to cover messing around with the image and testing and £12 for duplicates but a big pic would be more expensive as the bigger it is the longer it takes.

Not at all but I can tell you I hate slate,

There is a big difference between the slate that came off my roof and the extra practice bits the guy gave me.

Did this at the same power and speed settings as the one of my bike and it burnt in more and cracked it a bit.

So I upped the speed but kept power the same and got this. (pic is not great as light is bad)

I then did what I should have done first and did a power/speed grid.

Interesting how the etch on this is coming out white where the slate off my roof came out black.

Now maybe @roofman will be able to tell me what type of slate is on my roof and what the other stuff is. I can tell you my house was built in 1965 so not going to be Scottish slate, I am guessing Spanish but that is just a pure guess.

Look up a company called Martin Audio. We used to make tonnes of bits like that, the price was quite frankly bonkers.
