Yes I know. Its a pain as I didn't want to cut the stud. I can skim the nut down. Will try that.You've created none self-locking nuts there. Could you skim a little off the rear of the nuts to allow sufficient bolt to engage fully?
thinner washers would also help a little those are quite thickToday. I fitted the ram and brackets on the newly installed bulkhead. A tosser of a job. Unfortunately I had to cut the studs down a little to get the brackets over the studs. Everything runs so close. The top two studs are a little short and not protruding through the nylons. Not happy.

I believe they are Binx nuts?You can even get single use all metal nuts that have one end slightly crimped to be smaller than the other and are usually the standard thickness . they also stay tight.
An example is a lot of modern caravan wheel bearing retaining nuts are such devices.
