Today I made amends! Went over yesterday's crap rendering. Done it how I've always done it this time. Sloshed the cracked render with 5:1 PVA (well found a part 5L of No Nonsense wood glue).

Mixed the new render 4:1 builders / opc, wetted with the PVA mix. Same old, opened cement.

Let it go off a bit and wood floated it.

If she gets any worse I'm going to learn how to use that thing in the corner with the big glass dog bowl on the front.

I spent 8 hrs in the back of an ambulance at A&E a few weeks ago with an acute small bowel infection where it joins the stomach ........rather ill to say theleast . They had to rush me into the pit stop room seven times to clean me up . Can thoroughly recommend elastic knickers called " Nets" to hold incontinence pads in place .


Advised by the A&E specialist doctor to get hold of Dioralyte electrolitic fluid replacement drinks to help replace lost salts & chemicals as a result of evacuations , now more important in this warmer weather before you all start getting serious drops in your blood pressures & flaking out . Both Alison & I are sipping half a 200 ml glass of the stuff each as a matter of course every day & feel much better for it.

S'wot I did 17 yrs ago plus a proper underground STILWA 8 pair phone wire Mobile were crap back then plus I wanted the line to be reasonably secure , the cat 6 went into 15 mm unrolled alkathene water pipe . I used a vacuum to suck the mouse through the pipe with 80 lb Dacron fishing line tied on it's tail then pulled the cable through with it

Folks seem to really resent people with money, all my customers were very very wealthy and had earnt the money through hard work over many years creating many jobs, 99% of them were great and I didnt begrudge them a penny of it!

During construction of our extension the builders left so much timber in the skip each day that I helped myself for further use.

Did the first bit of welding I've done ij a while; steel frame for a backstop made from 1.5" timber - just in case any pellets go AWOL. Have an additional stop behind any targets I put up; they sit on the tree stump.

You had presumably already paid for the wood your builders were putting in the skip. You can bet your boots if they were paying for it there would be far less ! (And you'd need less skips !!!!!!! )
