It's blue but the similarity ends there.

Best colur match was done Phill The paint, when he matched a sample on a vice.
Mixed it in house, after painting it was oven baked.
It looked good.

Then I re fitted to the bench, it is blue, in places.

In places............... It is similar to a vice as well. Battered, covered in weld splatter, other paint, dirt, coffee stains and some blood.
But no tea.

Adapted more than made, repurposed a couple of discarded/dumped shopping trolleys. They make good trolleys for storing/moving v8 engines

They allow me to fit the table (with some washers to take the place of the cover that will eventually be between the aluminium body and the table bracket):

I need to reduce the depth of the table, but that was expected. I'd erred on the side of too big on the premise it's a lot easier to make it smaller than bigger. At the moment it clears the disc, but only just. I'd like there to be enough room between the disc and the table to allow me to change discs (typically to a finer grit) without moving the table. It should be a very quick job at the weekend to skim a millimetre or two off the side closest to the disc.

This evening I made the frames up for some ramps for getting vehicles into the new garage, will order some 6mm aluminium treadplate tomorrow for the top.
Reason I made two separates instead on one bigger one is I can't fit 2m x 1m in the van so just as easy to make two 1m x 1m ones

We finished this pallet of plates today. Glad that's done with, in hindsight it would have made more sense to get a 10mm plate and get someone to cut it all... But oh well.

Part of a dishwasher, stops the top rack coming too far out. The pin snapped off and was lost so I turned a new stainless one and glued it in place.


And a sholder bolt with a left hand thread, part of an elliptical trainer/walking machine type thing, original has long worn out.
It seems while I've been away the whole family have been saving jobs for me.

There are a few of them, one is a Mexican 302 W ( supposedly a thicker/stronger block), a couple of stock 302W`s, a Boss 302 which is a 4 bolt main Windsor block with Cleveland heads ( rare piece) and there is a Nascar Winsor engine.

Anthony's "Stihl" strimmer broke. The handle bar bracket disintegrated and it is some kind of weird alloy that welds badly, so I made a new (somewhat red-neck) one from some rusty 20x20x2.5mm angle that was the only suitable material I could find in my stock pile/scrapheap. 2mm E6013 Pecol rods @ 55 - 70A. The welds could have been better if I wasn't rushing to get it back on the road for him. I don't think it will fall to bits as quickly as the Chinesium original.
