For the bandsaw vice, I needed to get a welder out and stick a nut onto some 6mm plate, havent used either in ages. Started with some arc.
I was quite happy with that.
Then got the argon set up and started on the welding bench and garden table legs with tig. 10 tungstens sharpened 3 times each
Couldnt use my wp9 pen torch or stubby clear lens as tungstens still too long.
Very happy with it, most of the welds are poo, filling the poor fit gaps was a pain, but Ive had zero practise after the test welds when I got it last year. Argon reg was showing empty for the last hour. I'll try to finish the bottle and get a fresh one.
Gas bottle, bench grinder and tig are all nicely accessable in the shed now so I hope to use more often.
