Very nice setup,Slowly managing to effect a change in colour for the man-cave, from 'Rich Oak' to black. I thought/hoped it'd be one coat and done, but ohhhh no. Still, I'm getting there
and I wish our place was that neat and tidy. It reminded me that I promised to do some cleanup work in our back yard. But when I'm done, I can have a brew. 
As to one-coat coverage paint, I sometimes think it was invented by a marketing person who merely changed the label on the paint tins and upped the price tag.

Not much, but I did have fun, when I was left alone
They stunk , they are seized and they were destined to be converted into modern desk art.
Dismantling was fun, now power tools. No heat. The fat did burn.
Don't ask.
A week in caustic to remove the embedded fat.
Paint and bling.
To find out the lady wanted them as desk art has pulled out.
Naughty words. In a shouty voice.
It was early, I was awake. I had had coffee, home made bread.
So lets have a look.
New mantle, new pump washer and a repair to the non return valve showed it worked.
A friend has asked me to fix this, but leave the aged looked.
Wax and oil.
Do not oil the jet tube.
No really don't.
All done, with a happy friend.
Re made the pre heater as well, old dressing gown cord recycled into a wick.

The door's had 2 x coats, the rest of the front elevation only the 1 but I got tired....
The other end elevation has 1 on it too, so as the forecast's good for the next few days there'll be time to get it done while dry.

This evenings work.
Pair of 13" hauler plates, needed the face and taper skimmed.
They wee like this.
Skimmed face and taper and put 1.6mm step down from centre to start of taper as the skipper doesn't like using the wear plates as grip is reduced quite considerably as opposed to the bare cast iron surface.
Both done.
Made an RSS number for the boat I completed a month or so back.
Fitted some 6mm copper pipe across the cross slide on the POS Triumph and plumbed it up so that the Capto tooling holder can be fed without having the Loc-Line across the bed. I may increase to 8mm but room is tight so I will have to find a different route but it will do for now.

Don't judge the trestles, they were chucked together with zero thought, it was only afterwards it was pointed out that I could have laid them on the other orientation... Never mind, they will do what I need!
