Mostly cheaper ones, some jacobs, keys to fit some in that pile. I'll never use them as I've a range of decent jacobs ones on taper arbours to suit my machines.

Somewhat simpler than the last thing I posted, today I made a very basic tray out of some offcuts of beech and a bit of plywood:
It's got some 18 mm dowels as "feet":
They drop very loosely into holes in the top of my new portable workbench to stop it sliding around too much. The idea is that it gives me a convenient place to put stuff I'm using that is away from my main bench. I wanted the rim so I can be sure that any round objects won't roll away onto the floor and disappear under a drawer unit or wherever:
Made in a quick and lazy way (nailed together) with no consideration of wood expansion. If it breaks, I'll make another one: it only took me about 1/2 hour.

Are they rubber?Mine are on the prop of a 1 &1/2 ton dumper, hard to tell if they are the same size , but a very interesting source.
Some of them were made out of "conveyor belt" type material.

Didn’t make but got an old ratchet back working again. It had been left out in the elements for 4 years. Being next to the coast it’s a very harsh climate for anything metal. It was left soaking for a few days in various solutions. Today we had a wee bit of movement. The button for releasing the socket became free! The circlip that holds the ratchet into the body refused to move but the switch for changing direction came off very easily and allowed me to get more releasing fluid in. A bit of time spent wiggling things and it’s back working again.

Yes they Bl**dy well did. For my sins I raced and Hillclimbed Hillman Imps (no, I don't know why either) and these were always an absolute nightmare. I would always struggle with one or more on the day.
Anyhow, today's effort, a long time finishing as I started this a good few years back. A rotary broach tool:

Remember as an apprentice two of us being sent out to a local pub to an Imp van that had a broken driveshaft coupling, there was 6 inches of snow on the ground at the time .

They are, got this one at a reasonable price but still makes your eyes water.

I changed the gearbox in one in a pub car park in Mansfield with a thick frost on the ground. Will never forget that experience.

Yes, they were called Rotoflex couplings
Triumph GT6 MK11 and early MKIII had them on the rear drive shaft a and the 1300 FWD had them as well on the driveshafts
Changing the GT6 Rotoflex was a bit of a mission, the coupling came banded so you could fit it and then cut the banding once installed.
There was a special Churchill tool to decompress them which I used to have along with a shed load of other Triumph tooling but a messy divorce saw me lose them
I have made do with BIG jubilee clips to decompress the couplings
I worked out you could cut the old Rotoflex off if it already hadn't fallen apart, cut the banding on the new coupling and leaver it over the ears on the outer shaft and then recompress it to get the bolts in.
Why? Getting the outer shaft out of the hub and back in was a proper mission
