The torch stand finally mocked up at the counter to demonstrate a possible use for an oscillator and tig with mechanised hot/cold wire feed.

Made a new work table... Gonna be so handy being able to move stuff around on it! Primarily moving steel workpieces... Can cut a load, clean, mark out, bring to the drill, grind etc, then take back to the welding table... As well as just being a handy workbench!
Still need to cut some ply for the bottom, but it's not a priority atm.

Started off cleaning the kettle with a teaspoon of citric acid. It works! That went into a sweet tub with some lumps of metal. Hour later millscale was gone. Went shopping for a bigger tub to get these done. Works perfectly. Been in a few hours, wiped the loose stuff off a few times now probably time to take them out.

Thanks it's to provide additional bracing for a lower shelf, it won't be full width and just needed something to help with rigidity. It'll probably rarely get used, since it's the mobile aspect of the table that will be most used, for stacking material and moving etc.
Yes I'm a tart with the stainless... But atm most of my paying work is with stainless box section anyway

110kg each.
They'll be fine on my floors, it's relatively flat and smooth

I've had to search to understand correctly and you're right ,I have to be not timid with her .
But still have to move with caution because she's more shy than me .
(Hopefully Google gave me the right word)

Brass might be better for high current connectors but the mig ones survived ok. They will solder onto the induction coils after I cross drill.

She has one , but despite he's older than me and I'm 50kg he's not a problem at all .

They are nice people, he will say nothing more than typical things that are said in those situations .

I decided to make some more today out of European Walnut (using a table saw to do the first cut rather than a hand saw). Thicknesser took the material down to 0.8 mm without any tear-out and I figured that would do:

Little thumbscrew thing for one of the nice Moore and Wright protractors.
Mate has the set, its virtually brand new, but never uses the protractor as someone lost the screw not long after he got it.

Not sure why you'd buy a £200 combination set then never use it.
