Just a simple rail for all my Britool ring open ended spanners. Three sets I’m trying to make up, Metric (quite a lot), A/F (some) and British (hardly any!).

Have you allowed enough length on the pegs for duplicates of the same size? I think I have 4or 5 of the most common sizes. I keep them all locked in my toolbox when I am not there even though nobody ventures in to my workshop except me.

New 2x72 belt sander drive wheel to give more rpm's. It ain't pretty or perfect but it'll do.

not made but lightened a small motor as one of the model boats Im building needs to go on a diet..... the motor can started off at 13 grams in weight and is now 2 grams lighter. also shown with a standard motor and a pound coin for scale

Mostly yesterday, partly today. Cut up my next-door neighbours old TV aerial pole, cleaned the bits up a little with a polishing thingy on an angle grinder and made some little brackets to help them stand upright. Brackets are a fairly close sliding fit on the poles and are held in place with the green magic that is Loctite 603.

I then spent a lot of time getting all the Christmas-decoration-like aluminium swarf out of the lathe bed.

Got a bit done to the tool holder, still have to weld some bits in the back to stop the holders coggling Probably should have just had plain slats and welded on some flat bar to locate into the dovetails but where is the fun in that

Started on a 5” catch plate. Making it up as I go along really.

this blues face is flat with a good finish so I’m going to bore the 4” register tomorrow, drill and counter bore for 6 studs on the rotary table.

after that I will mount to the 5” backplate, remove 3 jaw and do the rest of the Turning, facing and finish boring with the backplate installed on the lathe. Everything will then be dead true to the spindle.

Bore will match the backplate, 2-⅛”, OD will be 5-½” and thickness will be whatever it ends up at.

Aside from even more mess in the workshop after work this evening, I made more progress on Mando helmet - and an instant MIG torch stand. The component parts of the former are now fully welded and cleaned up, just needs more shaping with my Thor copper/hide mallet before wrangling together and transmogrifying so I can actually wear it without toppling forward due to the weight of the monster I have created...

Duplicates just get resold.

Ideally it'd be Beskar, the material from which it is made in Sci-Fi world; resistant to blaster shots and (supposedly) the light sabre - guess that last property would make it impossible to TIG weld!

made a quick rough and ready jig and knocked ten of these up for a mates boat trailer there only mild steel so easy to bend

Turned my quick disconnect hose tails from en24, used sharp inserts to shave off 0.01mm for good fit. Good fit is when its tight to release and hand goes into the cutter

And drilled and cleaned up the thread, stuck valve, on a disposable bottle. Now how to remove the brass from the bottom?

I am guessing these are ER20 collets. What is the stated range of the smallest one (labelled 1mm) please? And where did you buy it? Thanks.

It says down to 0.1mm but I have nothing that small. I got the set from Ebay for £30 including the collet chuck and spanner.

The saga continues... got all four parts united. This is starting to feel like an albatross around my neck! Well, it certainly will weigh close to that, anyway.

Some of those bars are a bit big for their holders
Reminds me I need to make some holders I got a 20mm boring bar I havent used yet.
Like the design. Wish I had more wall space!
