made a cyclonic cleaning pot for an airbrush today. you can but airbrush cleaning pots £6 or £7, but mine was made from a couple of old syringes (used for filling model steam engines) and a old coffee jar.

stick a bit of kitchen roll in the exhaust tube to get the last solvent
the ones you can buy dont have any cyclonic action though, so this should be better

TIG foot pedal 90% finished and tested works a treat just requires tarting up. tomorrows job. Total cost £12.36 . Plus much time delving into my various scrap bins and long forgotten boxes. I'm afraid my lifelong motto is " it will come in handy even if I never use it" but it never fails to provide something of use eventually.

Quick connector. Didnt want to spend a tenner and have to open it up for fitting! 8.02mm bore. I'll put an oring up there, and use a pin to retain the male bit.

Eight to ten hours to fit one window. It was 2.5 meters up.
It was darn heavy.
It was a genuine nightmare.
But it's done, and that was the worst one.

Today I replaced my lathe tool holder storage thing with something that gives me a bit more floor space.
This is what it used to look like (OSB sheet, pine frame, nails to hold the tool holders in place):
This is what it looks like now. Still the same bits of OSB, but with some cedar blocks to hold the tool holders a bit more snuggly (I used cedar just because I've got loads of it).
I made those little holder blocks in long strips and got a bit carried away, so I've got 18 of them left with nowhere to put them and no tools to mount. I either need to make a LOT more tool holders and mount them on the other side of the OSB or just chuck them on the fire! There are about 6 empty slots so I've got room for more tool holders already. Not sure even I can argue that I need another 24 tool holders!

Another lathe tool holder. 3D printed Dickson holder for the M300, it's modular so I can add more positions but 14 is enough for now - hangs on the top edge of the chip tray...

I’ve got about 8 holders and don’t tend to use many more than that. I do need to get some HSS tools ground up though.
