Made a jack-o-lantern. Got the pumpkin from my SO's sister in september, she'd grown a bunch and they got quite large. Never had pumpkin before to the best of my knowledge, not a common food in Finland... We're wondering if we can use the insides, it sat outside since early september, we've had cool temps and even snow and below freezing, seems to have weathered it well. Figure a pumpkin is one of those foods that store well for a long time. Wonder how to turn it into a pumpkin pie, never had that before.

I'm making it from a pattern you can buy online, it was a thread started by @northwest that encouraged me to have a go, I scaled mine up by 50%.

Could you tell me which pattern you used..? It seems to have fewer parts than most I've seen online.

I used the cnc plasma to cut the pieces out, a few still needed a bit of tweaking, that was proba ly down to my metal working skills though, theres a couple of bits I learnt which would help doing another

Cheers - much obliged. Don't have access to plasma so I'd just print out on paper, glue to sheet and cut out.

Those are my thoughts too. I'm not going to pay £30 just to be able to print out the shape/sizes, I don't have CNC equipment for a start. The chances of mine looking that good regardless of the equipment I don't have are slim, beyond my skill level I feel, still would like to have a go through.

Good thinking, I wasn't sure. I have some cold-rolled 2mm but probably not enough, also a larger sheet (1000 x 500mm) but of 3mm but that'd be too thick.

Finally finished my fold away sectional welding table. After welding on top of a warped black and decker work mate for the last 15 years....

Got some 1.6mm stainless steel 'coupons' earlier in the week and some 316 filler rods so had a play this afternoon, didn't plan on making a cube but it just kinda happened.

As a habit I purge the remaining Argon after closing off the bottle but before turning off the TIG by tapping the switch on the torch. I forgot just how efficient and potent the Lorch MicorTIG I've had for three months really is... it was in the torch holder and on 4T at 55A it still managed to strike an arc and jumped the 50mm to the Bahco wrench and blinded me for a few moments!

Too late, I scoffed them all last Xmas. I've just made this insert and turned it into a storage box for my collet set, the holder and C spanner came in a plastic box with just a few different size collets, I'm working my way up to a full set, need a 14-13 for sure, not sure what's the largest size for an ER25? Have I got enough holes I'm thinking even if I remove those couple of spares/duplicates.
