I suffered from regular kidney stones until I discovered a natural remedy called Quebra Pedra - google it. It cleared up my stones & I haven't had one since. I suggest you start taking it asap as it will break up existing stones making them easier to pass out.

More kitchen building, nearly done then I can get back in the tractor and a couple of 1930's table saws I'm renovating.

All remaining carcasses fitted, some were a pain as nothing in the kitchen is square and there were pipes from the bore hole to work around especially in this corner.

I'm not impressed with the sink, it looks ok and the missus likes the design but the quality is a bit crap and the plumbing non standard. I aim to fit and forget so will replace with something better when we replace the worktops, these are temporary. The temporary worktops and sink will end up in the bar in the barn

The wife wanted a fold down pastry worktop that is lower than a standard worktop so she can knead dough and roll out pastry easier plus easier for the kids to cook as they both enjoy cooking. Here's the prototype, two stainless fold down hinges and its surprisingly rock solid.

Once she was happy I built the end of the cabinet out 100mm to allow for a socket either side of the peninsula and added the oak face frame with pocket hole screws.

Just the other side of the peninsula to frame, baseboard to make and fit then I'm onto dovetail drawers and doors which I can largely mass produce in the workshop. The ugly fold down table will be hidden behind a pair of doors.

Then it is expensive worktop time. The whole of the kitchen and utility room built from birch ply and quarter sawn oak, some 25 cabinets, is coming in around 5k with fittings, not counting my time. I expect the new sink and worktops will almost match that. Not sure if it will be Corian, granite, quartz or whatever yet, the missus wants to see the finished cabinets before choosing, hence the temporary worktops.

New doors for the new workshop, 40mm box section with 11mm osb on the inside, will be insulated in the middle and waiting on some Douglas fir cladding from a local sawmill for the outside. I had to re-engineer the gate hinges with brass bushings to take out the slop, which slightly to my surprise worked really well. Just need to add a lock and come up with a security bar to span both doors for when I’m not in residence.

I like your wishful thinking , I could get inside your building in less than a minute looking at it the way it is … weld all the nuts on the hinges or someone may well undo them & take the door off . I know you said you will have a brace bar across the doors for when you are not there but that may allow access if the nuts are undone and the bottom of the door is pulled outwards

Er yes, it’s a work in progress. I’ve only just screwed all the nuts on so I’m aware they can be unscrewed just as quickly! All the nuts will be drilled and have tapered pins to lock them. Having said that, with a brace across the front there is no way that you could pull the door out at the bottom.
Security on any outbuilding is a problem though, made worse since cordless angle grinders were invented. You just have to slow the b.....s down.

Hello Morrisman, if you like a challenge try wiring a 70's Citroen DS. Citroen used black cable throughout with coloured sleeves on the ends to distinguish. Except by now all the sleeves are beige and the insulation is falling off the cable.

They also did things like routing all the lights current through the dip/main beam switch. The heater switches used to melt for the same reason.
Mind you, DeLorean were just as bad: their window lift motors take 9A off-load and all the current goes through the rocker switches...

I was clay shooting last Friday and one of our staff asked what the range was: she was told 70-80yds but they have a 275m exclusion zone to be on the safe side. Granted shooting game you'd have a heavier load...

Morgan are no better, I’m doing a bit of work on mine at the moment - unsealed bullet connectors under the front wings, wires twisted with insulating tape...

Today I found an excuse to get the tig out, and made a stainless steel bracket to hold an oil cooler on a marine gearbox. It was quite thin stainless, for me, under 2mm, not sure about how the underside looked, sure you folks will tell me what I've done wrong, did learn my gas gauges are no longer accurate.

Not saying you're doin it wrong, just some tips

If you put a block of aluminium inside the corner it will work both as a heat sink and keep air away.
Can even trap some argon and work as a "poor man's purge"
Looks like you were a bit hot and if you were using thicker than 1 mm filler that might be the reason.

@AndersK , you are so right.

I was using a 2.4 mm tungsten and a 1.6 mm filler rod, initially I had the gas set to 6 - 7 lpm, came out well grey, turned it up to 10 and much better, then noticed the brand new argon bottle was reading 140 bar on my gauges, but over 200 on the little gauge on the bottle. So concluded my gauges need changing.

Don't have any blocks of anything which would fit between the corner flanges.

Thanks for your thoughts. Much appreciated, probably should have done the weld at a 45 degree angle?

I was suffering regular bouts of kidney stones, probably 2 or 3 times a year for 3 years. The NHS couldn't do anything & couldn't find a reason for them forming. I was admitted to hospital twice in agony, all they could do is feed me morphine & wait for the 6mm stone to come out!

I heard about the quebra pedra online & tried it out.
I took the capsule form at full dose for around 6 months until I thought I was clear of stones, then cut down to one a day for 6 months.
I was also taking a mug of the tea daily, its a nice alternative to normal tea.
Probably a year or so later I felt the familiar pain in my side so I started taking the capsules & tea again. This time I passed no stones at all, the quebra pedra must have dissolved them in my kidneys! I continued taking the capsules for 3 months at full dose & 3 months at 1 per day.

That was probably 10 years ago & thankfully I have been stone free since. On one occasion I had some kidney pain so I took some capsules for a few weeks just in case.

Medics said that tea makes produce stones because high calcium oxalate content.
Essentially every thing makes produce stones ,we should eat and drink everything to balance the various substances ,also urines must have a specific pH (not acid not alcaline) .
No Sea fruits , particular fishes ,no crayfish and shrimp ,etc
No cheese ,no milk,no salt
And it's not ended here because whatever thing you by you should read what's in the recipe because it's possible to find ingredients you not even think to find in them.
Anyway thanks for the links and for telling your experience with ,I will speak about this quebra pedra with my base doctor
