I was asked to make some horse shoe crabs, so I did. From old horse shoes.

This guy was rejected by the customer, I think he looks cheeky.

Good morning gents. This just today, having some lunch now so thought I would post.

This is the bridge between the pods on a 10 meter cat I have been playing with. The original has corroded and beyond repair.

Had a play with 'Francis' today, she has been lonely, the plate it is sitting on is the, or will be the top of the new to be welding table.
Also had a play with 'Donna' she too was lonely. Had to roll some 5mm 316 by 50 wide flat bar to attach the sponson rubber to the vessel hull.

After lunch start construction of the welding table. Need it ASAP

I don't do the paperwork but I think that a type approval is applied for, and if it's accepted the vehicle has to go for an mot and tested in this case as drawbar spec.

Saturday is beer night.
It was many beers nights plus a metal melt.
The beer was successful.

The metal melt was not.
First pour did not seam to flow it seamed to be like pouring cold treacle. But the mould was filled.

Second melt was with the blower going full bore, max chat, pedal to ..... enough.
And it flowed, the metal, the crucible and the fire pit bars.
Oh dear, meaning Oh flipping hell that is a bit annoying.

Well today, I busted the mould open.



That's after a bit of a clean up.

Yes it is rough as a badgers,, ask no question.

But it works.



Pitted, twisted and all the rest.
It is tempered and works to a fashion.

Hay, for a home made steel melt in a garden, tis ain't half bad.

Good morning gents, not just today but over a few weeks. Completed painting vessel and now started assembly. Now the goal post get moved

Last couple of days has been mid 30's so quite warm along with the flys. The, what seems to be like plastic film on the hull of the boat is a low adheasion coating I applied the the blue to be able to paint the white (very light blue) without masking. Masking over the winter, with rain and wind would have left the country. This stuff, once you are ready just peel it off, and off it comes

Seems to be quite an angle on the back of the pods, is there a reason for that? Usually 12 degrees but that looks more.

No idea actually Hood. It is as was and never measured it, must work as they make quite a few. So yesterday was the last day on that boat for some time, now it's paperwork, completion of some of my projects as well as mowing the grass, erection of mobile communication mini tower, as where we are now mobile signal is very poor, wash the shed out and did I mention mow the grass. Oh yes I did, well probably will need to do it twice anyway

I make some weird things for Fishermen, today it was some Greenie Poles.
1.5"NB Sch40 316, they need to be strong as the wind blaws strong up this way and he is a big lad

Also cut a Heilan Coo out on the plasma as a Christmas present but forgot to take a snap as I was trying to get a finning machine sorted and out the door.
