Depressing.
240 bullet connectors to crimp on to these.
Then 24 trs leads to cut in half. Strip and and another 146 bullet connectors to crimp.
Could have soldered direct but then Id have to comit to normal/half normal or thru and lose ease of reconfiguring

Yesterday I made another job to do.
A few weeks ago I acquired this fuel tank for a long term "Keep be busy" project.
This Engine gets worked on when I don't have mush to do, it is waiting parts. But That is difficult as no auto jumbles.
Only the past owner knows how long it was sat outside.
After a week in citric acid the rust inside and out has gone.
The holes were filled with lead and tin solder.
The engine to tank bracket needed 2 of the 3 spot welds re done, they had cracked.
Fitted, the list of parts is growing.
The primmer went on as did the first coat of red.
It was going well until the final coat.
Then.
The words I said are not allowed here.

This is a peace of reclaimed Oak Flooring.
It has a new use. But it needed a few hours of work. But due to the lack of sleep skills recently I was doing it over night.
Here I have used a hand moulding plane the shape the ends. Yes There is a deep under cut. But that will go with the sanding needed to remove the horrible finish.
The joints are filled with a hard wax, using multiple shades to blend them in.
This nice hand scraper makes a very fine finish. It also removes the surplus wax and as it does it fills any small blemishes.
First of many French Polish coats. The secret is to use a hand scraper or wire wool to de nib the polish.
PAD (Paper Aided Design) to allow the holes needed for the engine.
The extra feet and the 4 blocks the engine sits on are recovered from more flooring scraps.
That is about the size of the scraps I got.
So I made a few more than I needed. The surplus are going to be used in MIS on some bench tools.

Not me.
But a "Expert" at MIS.
This guy thinks he knows it all, but 99.99% of the time it is BS and taken from the WWW.
This is a classic example.
This was set up at my place to show what was wrong.
Paraffin Blow lamps are very common, 60% are not worth repairing but look good to look at. The other 40% are worth spending time and funds to get them going. Service parts are cheep.
I always replace all seals, they are in the kit.
This person only replaced the cup washer in the pump and "Declared it was now fit for use."
First use, he primed it, pumped it up and after it was burning nicely the Pump to tank washer failed. Allowing paraffin vapour to escape with the resulting fire.
I now have to get a new CO2 extinguisher, as it was sued to make the torch safe in MIS.
When it all had calmed down and new coffee made, our expert was heard to say.
It had to be cheep parts from china, he could not made that mistake.
A rectum on legs.

Finally got into the workshop to finish the resin hybrid Bowl that launched itself out of the chuck a couple of weeks ago!
It's not brilliant but I am pleased to have rescued it from the scrap pile

I am involved in a Number of MIS.
This is a Shed I am a member of as a Tech Support. MIS allow many to join, some good some bad.
I will post the bad as well as the good. But recently, the bad are over taking.
My main MIS is going through a lot of changes, a few bad eggs have come back. Meaning some of the Good Members to leave.

You'll have to start a vetting process to weadle out the rectums. Or start a video diary so we can all have a

We are allowed to people away from joining MIS.
We have rules and we expect them to be followed. but some think they are above the rules.
However, we can manage our memberships. There are ways.
Having a much needed tidying session in the mancave and came across an abandoned project involving a condemned set of grade 8 lifting chains that were rescued from a scrap skip. Also came across some unused Clevis hooks that came from God knows where 
.
No point them living under the bench forever, so a few minutes work with a slitting disc and a pair of pliers has produced some perfectly good lashing chains for the wagon:
Also reacquired my beloved cast iron name plate that will fit nicely in the window bottom of the Scania:
Wouldn't want anyone to think I was one of those rough Cumbrian boys

Didactylos was (or possibly still is, according to Thief of Time) one of the most notorious philosophers in Ephebe. Unlike most Ephebian philosophers, he did not spend his days lying around in the bath. Indeed, washing in general seemed to completely elude him. He did employ certain other philosophical trappings, such as living in a barrel and carrying a lamp with no oil (as he was blind) - a nicely metaphorical touch. He was the uncle of Urn.
His most famous piece of philosophy was the heretical tract De Chelonian Mobile, or "The Turtle Moves", which formed the basis of an underground movement in Omnia. However, Didactylos himself argued that it wasn't philosophy, as it was entirely factual. His other works include his theory on Life: "Things just happen, what the hell."
