I was messing around with a Bosch GBH 5 DCE ,1992 model rebranded by Würth
Long story short
Who took it to me is the son of the original owner
They sold the hammer after the father died , after doing that they asked to the new owner to borrow this GBH to them to a job
They did break it
This guy took it to me to repair it on July but I had to take care of my health
The other day I opened it finding the connection rod (I know that there is a name for that but I can't remember it) that connects the piston to the crankshaft completely broken
Made out of plastic so I believe that Bosch designed that to fail saving the other parts
Asked to my friend that has a power tools repair shop about parts
Being this hammer old and out of production he can't sell me the parts
So I had to dig into the scrap tools that I have not repaired because various reasons
Took an einhell ,yep an einhell sds plus rotary hammer ,tear down ,took the part for it
Realized an hole from 5 to 8.5mm , ground the parts
Reassembled
All this took me a week
Called the guy telling he to take the hammer as soon as possible because I want not see it again because I started hating it
He told me
I will take it this afternoon thanks for now

What this does mean
I worked for free because he has no Idea to pay me
I'm very upset about
I put it on the black list under the section

I have to clean my tools put them in the toolbox ,clean all my working zone because I have to paint
After that I have to assemble things ,and repair an Hitachi H65AB2 an Hitachi 12V impact,two battery chargers and a concrete mixer
Today is a long and busy day

"if you don't choose your customer, then the customer chooses you" - if you don't make it clear the rough value of the work to start with, potentially turning people away, then yes, people will expect you to fix their crappy tools for free.

The other thing is, what's the hammer worth? You should have been up front with him about the labour costs potentially coming to more than it's worth.

He had no choice he needed to repair , but the problem is now he must pay in some way because my time and my work have a value

I love Jack Russells. I grow up with one, she died aged 21yrs, I was 18 and on to my second she was 4/5yrs by then. Both very good gun dogs, retrieving game other dogs c/wouldn’t fetch.

I’ll see if my mum has a picture of Mandy Mk2, her ears stuck up like yours. Her nickname was Radar

A fire... took abit of work. We’d burnt the roof of the fire out.




So I had to cut it out and weld in a thicker sheet (6mm)
Replaced some of the fire bricks and gave it a lick of paint.

Got some more done to the roller system.

Table frame constructed.

A sheet of 5mm onto the plasma and cut up.

Bait box welded up and welded to the underside of the table top.

Table top welded in place with back uprights welded in and the hauler precariously perched on top of the old bait box awaiting the skipper so that he can check that the height is ok for him. It is the ideal height for the hauler but with the barrel on the top of it it may be too high so I didn't want to go welding up a mounting box for it until I got the OK. Usually they just have a flat cap on them but with this one having the barrel it is a bit of a pain.

I have 100 of these to machine, 75 pipes to cut before welding starts. Then it will be revealed
