On the back of my job lot of spanners post a while back, they've now been through caustic soda and citric baths.
I thought I'd run a few past the wire brush in the bench grinder and was pleasantly surprised - we like shiney things, right?
Could be some treasures among them, e.g a couple stamped Snail brand - one has sizes at each end and oddly the other just has the number 15821 at one end
. I've never seen that done before on a spanner. Pics don't really do the outcome justice. 


I'll not be stuck for something to do on wet, windy days........
