Not sure, seen a guy using a hire 1.5T Kabuta to scrape top soil off a garden the other week. I'd have done it quicker by mattock.Geta digger man in for a day, he will be quicker, cheaper, make less mess and do far less damage than you.

I did dig an accurate 13m trench by hand for power to my gate. 13m long, 750mm deep, and just the width of a mattock / boot. Took some doing but a sense of achievement.
A much cheaper alternative is a bigger electric jackhammer with a spade bit on it.So now the digging. I'm am not looking forward to doing this trench by hand. I've calculated it at 20×.3×.75 = 4.5m³. That's just to get the duct and power to the garage. Probably double that to do the trench the full plot width to allow for future drains etc.
I REALLY need a digger. Keep mulling these Chinese ones...
