I would think that the limited ground clearance, heavy weight & narrow wheels would lead to it grounding out & getting stuck! Most contractors here use a big telehandler with dual wheels & a massive fork to fill the pits. They will normally clear a 16x8 trailer load in less than 5 scoops!

If we get it right we can clear almost an entire 18 ton trailer load in one push.

2 sets of tie rods,left/right hand threaded,to forge the heads on the pins,I made a die then squashed them under the power hammer.

Just a few wee bits and pieces to machine back at the workshop but more or less finished.

Just gets left, paint would be off in a few hours with the gear and miles of rope getting hauled over it every day.

All the sheet is 5083 marine grade aluminium and sections are 6082 so still a high magnesium content so as long as there is no steel attached to it then it just gets its oxide coating and stays that dull grey colour, the gunwale cappings are fixed with stainless screws/bolts. Hull is GRP.

Made this week or so...
Finished my 4th axis rotary table project. Works great milling s355 tube with no chatter, and even put a hex on the end of a hardened steel tine without complaint.

Its a Tryax bed mill with centroid CNC control, its about the same size as a XYZ DPM. Using 20mm and 32mm indexable end mills with general purpose inserts

Your not looking hard enough . All my small pieces of finished scrap originate from bigger pieces of scrap.

Needed to make some replacement vice jaws.

Found some scrap metal plate 600 x 600 x 10 for which I paid £5.00

Seems to machine up quite nice.

They are good but you may have noticed a change as it ran out of charge I think for small jobs it works well. Anything major then use a mains one
