Sorry to hear that Memmeddu…..
came close to a disaster myself a few days ago…..
should be out of ICU today….
loadsa plumbing n tiling to do at home….
no heavy work for me for a few months…
i wish your mum well but she will need help and company from you….
Its hard to make it alone….
I lost my wife to Cancer, no family and so called friends ran to the hills….
Enjoy each day and if you feel bad work harder, that’s what got me through it….

I'm trying to work as hard as possible.
Came back to work today , once arrived boss told me.
"There's a bucket for you"
So I'm replacing the cutting edge .
I've flame cut the old one in IC Weld style(cutting through the welds) , I'm becoming good with the cutting torch .
Ground off the Dross tacked a new cutting edge on it and started to weld it
I think that I can finish it today or at least do the 85% of the metalwork.
4 hours of work left

I need to bleed the fuel system on my sister's car. Ford couldn't be bothered to fit a lift pump in their diesels so you need a vacuum pump of some sort to pull the air out of the system when the filter is changed.

I already had an electric vacuum pump but didn't want it ingesting diesel. So cobbled this together. Yes that is a coffee jar

Bit of ally was turned to fit the jar and a couple of holes cut with the 4 jaw. It was quite unbalanced so slow speeds needed. Also turned an M10 bolt down to 8mm and drilled through. Seals were almost cut with the CO2 laser couldn't get all the way through silicone. So finished with a Stanley knife.

Had to counter bore the top to fit the gauge Tee. Again in 4 jaw.

I'll hopefully only use this once so didn't want to go too mad. Hopefully I don't smash the jar...

Made some slab yolks for a custom bike of some sort, this was the plan I was given, drawn onto one of the pieces of aluminium.

Got them mostly done but can't find my slitting saw. I remember giving it to someone for a shot but can't recall getting it back and there is no chance of getting it now as he is no longer with us. Looks like I will just have to do it on the bandsaw

Finished to weld the bucket in Just an half hour
How many amps / volt do you need to go in spray transfer using 1.2mm wire and 5 metres minutes?
1 metres wide , roughly 3 metres of welding joint in total .
I've firstly tacked then welded in short runs (roughly 50mm long)
Obviously I've weld some scrap angle iron to prevent distortion .
Then I've oxy propane gouged them off .
I didn't even need to grind a spot because I don't know why and how I managed to remove completely the weld without touching the parent metal.

Today I made this. An interesting little job, especially turning a ball end free-hand using a chamfer cutter. It's slightly pointy, but who's going to notice?

What is it, you ask. It's a trunnion for an Archer tapping head. It clamps the adjustable foot. They're almost never on these things because no-one uses it

I think the foot's purpose is to prevent the head pulling out of the Morse Taper when the tap reaches bottom position and the head reverses. Once it's blacked it'll be fine.

When I did the same job on my van I just cut a small slit 5mm from the open end of the pipe and pushed the nozzle of my airline into the slot aimed towards the open end . A quick blast of air and the fuel was sucked through. Cut off the pipe 10mm short . All done in 5 minutes.

Not me. My 7yo.
He's been wanting porridge a lot recently so taught him how to make it himself.

This morning he decided to make it tasty by adding salt pepper and extra hot chilli sauce.

He might have enjoyed it but my 4yo didn't think so when he got a bowl. Neither did his gag reflex

When I did the same job on my van I just cut a small slit 5mm from the open end of the pipe and pushed the nozzle of my airline into the slot aimed towards the open end . A quick blast of air and the fuel was sucked through. Cut off the pipe 10mm short . All done in 5 minutes.

On TDCI engine you have to pull air through the low pressure side of the injection pump. All the hoses are plastic with moulded fittings so I doubt that would do the trick....

Jam it up the spout of shultz-less shultz gun? I've moved all sorts of liquids with one of them.
