Coolant fitting in, Injectors in, just waiting for top o-rings to arrive from mr injector. Lower intake manifold fitted, exhaust fitted with new metal locking nuts. Nearly ready to go back in

I always had issues with the way I ran the vacuum lines to the wastegate. One day a month or so back the solution popped into my head rather than heatwrap them and cable tie them along the engine crossmember, why not run hardliners inside it. Much better. And cost me nothing to do.

nearly there. 1 coolant nipple to weld in and the exhaust to modify and fit, but after that it will be fill with coolant and oil and start....

Hardlines make sense and look neat, depending on the ID of the pipes and the length of them you may see a (very small) drop in response time for boost control - smaller, longer lines take longer to evacuate/pressurise the actuator can.

Replaced sump gasket on my Td5 90.

While in there, also added some Loctite 270 to the dreaded oil pump sprocket bolt! Despite owning the car since 2008, and thinking I knew a bit about the Td5 engine, I somehow hadn’t heard of this. Mine had no threadlocker on it as fitted, but was still tight.

(2002 15P engine).
