Had a very productive day in the workshop today.
Fitted more double sockets as well as tidying up the wiring into the breaker box, and rewired the overhead lights into switches rather than having them plugged into sockets, but also got the drill press into its permanent home:

Just enough room above it to open the lid and change speed, and once I've made some removable shelves there'll be plenty of room in the cabinet to store all my drill bits and various cutters. Everything drill-related will be where it needs to be, no more wandering around the workshop trying to find what's needed

Nice tidy Babco vice, complete.
But the sliding jaw action was notchy and stiff to wind in.
The image does not show the bend in the screw thread.
I gently tweaked it true with a sleev of copper and a steel pipe.
Cleaned up and ready for use.

Same time I was cleaning the Babco vice I was also cleaning this little un named vice.

And repositioned the plastic bin rack and made a storage area for steel stock where the cabinet used to live:

The switch has a coil in it that is energised when you push start. If you push stop OR the power goes off, it drops out so when the power comes back it needs starting again.Just gone in the workshop and the switch is faintly humming,working fine though,any ideas?

They're rubbish. I've a D bit grinder and a small horizontal band saw with those NVR switches. Both buzz.

Tend to agree with the quality of the Axminster NVRs . My one on a bandsaw quit, so I just replaced it with a light switch. If I am dumb enough to leave it on, then I deserve to get chopped up when the power comes on again. So far, so good.

Carrying on from the dripping tap saga I present to you some of the finest quality taps from a land far far away, £20 delivered and they seem to be reasonable quality, I guess most of the branded stuff is going to be made in the same place!
Anyhow the length of the threaded tail is not going to be a problem is it... what should have been a quick job turned into a longer job extending pipe work FFS but they are fitted and the water is staying in the pipes until requested not too
