I used to have (may still have) a breadknife-ish shaped knife - a forked end, and serrated. "Devil"? something?
That thing was fantastic for cutting stuff - even frozen (and the tips didn't break off stabbing sausages)
I couldn't find my lagging / insulation cutting knife a while back so swiped the old bread knife out of the kitchen draw took it to my bench grinder and ground the serrations off it to get the job done in the tank room, I then found my original lagging knife a few days later....Just to show what a heathen I am . Despite the fact that I just love the shape and feel of knives and guns I'm afraid that my " go to" kitchen knife is a simple bread knife . It cuts everything with ease and control and doesn't need constant sharpening. I await the onslaught!
Coincidence ! I,m using a Kitchen devil also . Luckily the bread knife works because I find the rest of the set keep an edge for about 2 minutes.Kitchen Devil, my Father bought my Mother a set, quite likely for her birthday back in the 80's!I use that one regularly for homemade bread as my Engineering side likes the fine tooth saw edge for precise crust cutting.

biggest issue with global are the amount of fakes
It said not to on the box.Not sure if its actually the dishwasher that blunts it, wouldn't be surprised if someone was just cutting against a plate or something stupid like that.

We found similar probs with decent knives in the dishwasher. They would always be blunt even if I had sharpened them before putting them in the washer . Had a look at the keen edge afterwards using a 10 x magnifying glass the edge was gone , I came to the conclusion that it's the chemicals in dishwasher tablet that errode a decent sharp edge if they are left in the washer to dry & cool.
I tried to find the reason a while ago, and it was suggested by one knife manufacturer that the issue with dishwashers is them getting chucked in the cutlery tray with other stuff and getting dinged up.

so we went by and took as many as we could. Great lights, I have some smaller ones and some big ones left.
Don’t tell everyoneThat proves that you're not at all dim....![]()
Fixed the lights in my lorry. They were dimmer then me previously. Now it’s brighter than my future
The company that owns ours had a big job removing all the old fridge freezer units from Tesco and they’d stored them all up their yard for scrapping so we went by and took as many as we could. Great lights, I have some smaller ones and some big ones left. Very pleased though.
It’s the drivers width. I ate all cakes. Is the indicator board for the height of your sleeper cab or the width?![]()
