Apparently it's just my month for low-level bad luck...
Nothing of mine broken (that I know of), but a bad day for the poor sod who slid his new company car into the back of me as I was gingerly slowing down from 15mph in anticipation of having to descend a steep hill with less than ideal traction.
Very apologetic, accepted responsibility immediately (in the way company car drivers are categorically told not to), and clearly gutted.
I will have to let my insurer know tomorrow and suffer the inevitable premium rise in January (always felt that it's rum you can get a premium rise when it's not your fault, but better that than the premium rise associated with getting your insurance cancelled for not reporting).
Fortunately for him he slid enough to one side that the tow-ball missed his radiator.
