strike through screwdrivers?

struggling to find a screwdriver online with the strike through cap /handle

any ideas who does them (not snap on prices)

something flat blade 12-14" ish with the handle you can hammer on

Many of the cheap ones look like strike through but just have a steel flat or hex button on the end of the handle which falls out the first time you hit them.

The generic branded jobs like those are total cheese.

Still got a 14.5" flat blade chisel driver I bought 35 years ago, Taiwan Talco, abuse that thing has had is phenomenal

I think they tend to be called "pound through" which seems a bit americanised to me.

At those sort of lengths, likely you would get by with a decent impact driver & proper impact bits. Nice tho.

Yeah, I should have read the OP better.... once you click on link it shows similar items so not a total washout

I've not used them but being Wera I imagine they should be pretty decent

why would you need to choose between wedge shaped end and straight? must be a reason but i cant think why

I would imagine wedge shaped is perhaps stronger (more metal?) but at the expense of access - as an example at a smaller scale wedge shaped screwdrivers are not much use in electrical connections as they won’t go into recessed terminals.

The last CK screwdrivers I bought were self shortening, the tips snapped off as soon as I tried to tighten up a screw! There Allan keys are better, guaranteed not to damage a cap head, the toffee they are made from yealds at finger tip pressure!
I have a set of these, they have lasted well.
