@AdiWeld I think you need to go back to welding school before you start giving out instruction.
The amount of issues with your technique and video is too great to list

Rod and is absolutely completely wrong take the bottom of the rod of out of the slag by picking up the bottom of your hand a good 3 inches. I would always hold the stinger with one hand, and I think your arc should b thighter you could jam in that rod further into the corner on first run. It’s hard enough to learn welding without showing people bad habits,

Aye not getting into the centre with that first pass
Should be up left right x mas tree triangle and you have to mutter " mickey mouse / donald duck as you hang on to the edges to fill the uc i could do that in one pass with a 3.2 mm rod

I think we could do with being a bit less balchy some of you.

I quite agree he is dwelling too long in the corners, no actual “root” going in.
However he’s a new member and his first post isn’t trying to sell something.
It doesn’t hurt to be a bit nicer and more approachable

I do agree but he came on here with an instructional video naturally we were gonna criticize. Instructional videos are meant to be the 100% right way

Yes they are. Rather than telling him not to pass on bad habits or go back to welding school just point out the errors and welcome him to the mob. Everybody says and does things publicly that isn’t always right. He’s not showing people bad habits intentionally or arguing your point that he’s right your wrong etc. I can see errors in the vid but fair play to him for putting it up and having a crack. It takes guts. Feedback on how to improve his vids is great if it’s done in a professional manner. That’s all I was pointing out.

Tbf he has asked for all feedback on the vid in the comments good and bad.
He has also gone to the effort of capturing arc shoots that are watchable which isn’t the easiest thing in the world and he put effort in editing it all together.

I'll add a my two pence not worth much but hey as stick welding goes in position like that is hard unless you do it every day or you very skilled. There are issues there. But the op asked for criticism and it was given maybe a little harshly but he's taken time to video edit and share takes courage I'll give him that. But maybe asking for advise to tighten up his skills first before trying to pass on information

Nope, don’t agree. The guy has got a dozen videos on YouTube purporting to instruct people how to weld. He may be a new member but he is misleading people and teaching them bad habits.
I’m not the best welder in the world, nor the most knowledgable, and hence I don’t make instructional videos.
