Iv'e got a spare old suffolk punch lawnmower engine, for a bit of fun I'm going to get it running, make a little fuel tank and exhaust and just leave the engine finish in stripped back ali. Then mount it on a nice bit of wood and have it as a working garden ornament, running I don't know what yet off the crank..
Rather than stick the original recoil pull cord starter setup back on - which will really detract looks wise - , is there a way (without putting me in A&E) to spin a flywheel nut which releases once the engine starts? I was thinking to adapt the recoil mech to work off a drill but that won't work.
Are there chucks or starter handles or anything else that will grip for a turn then safely release?
I will take some pics later
