One floor board different then

Sorry Kent, I miss typed the measurement, it was 38mm short as at the last minute they decided that they wanted the posts and balustrades fixed directly to the beams of the mezzanine floor instead of the 18mm ply and 20mm engineered oak flooring which was bonded to it.

that sounds like good practice to me, I was wondering why the change

Thank you, the station has gone through a huge transformation since it closed 25 years ago. A lot of history has been put back into it, even a 100+ year old clock that used to be on the top of Irlam council offices it feels great knowing that hopefully what I have done in there will be around for the same amount of time
