Do these house spiders bite, when they are a certain size?

Not sure, I never disturb them. If I find them in the bath tub I scoot them onto an old newspaper or mag and put them outside. Need to be a bit quick though, the critters can get a move on.

Some spider has set up his farm between my two sheds, right in the way of the dog poo bin. I walked into it the first day, but surprisingly it didn't stick to me, just sprang back as I reversed out. It looks like the spider was on acid too, very strange web pattern.

This is a fair size one I found a couple of years ago.
If a brick is 4" then he's maybe 5" across.

I dont believe there are any native spiders that have long enough Fangs to puncture Human skin, they do however have enough Venom. I did read somewhere there is a spider that has come over from mainland europe that has long enough fangs but not the venon. It has been suggested if they were to cross breed then... we may have a problem.

(I was bitten on my leg by something a few yrs ago, as I got out of bed. Very hot, but was gone in a few hours

I got at least 5 bites around July. It is rare to know what has actually made the bite unless you see the insect/spider. But, on each occasion I saw the two puncture marks. I was itching for several days, but no feelings at all of being unwell.

In contrast I was attacked by ground bees while digging the soil over. They came out and attacked - multiple bites, legs and ankle. It stung for maybe 10 or 15 minutes then I felt a calmness and very relaxed. I put this down to a big blast of adrenalin

Time of year? Out of 5 of us in the house,it’s always down to me to move them,however as I like them they just get distributed elsewhere indoors,ssh don’t tell the rest of the household

I put my motorbike helmet on, late for a hospital apointment. Sharp pain in my head, throbbing, massive headache that kept getting worse.
I'd crushed a false widow. They only bite if they are attacked.
Took me a week before I was feeling normal. One of the worst headaches I have had.

I think they make their webs out of piano wire.

This was the one in my garden, looking from underneath, he was sat in the centre of his LSD induced net for several days, then today he is gone, and his net. Torrential rain yesterday, probably drove him to emigrate to warmer climes. He was about 1 1/2 long.

That's em. Garden Spider. I believe. There's one over the Brown bin, crazy strong web. Behind the Brown bin are a couple of roof tiles laid against the wall. A Big Mister lives there last time I looked

3" or 75mm ish. That makes him about a 4" spider, still a big sod!
