how much should a 10 or 20l bottle of pure argon should cost from one of your suppliers?

I think the distributors are free to set their own prices Bert.
I got one from Melksham motor spares and it cost me considerably more than the priced Alan quotes on his website.

I had words with Alan on the same subject regarding Jayar. Bottom line is that it's the dealer that sets their end price so we pay it or we don't.

End result is that you pays your money or you don't! It cost me 180 quid to set up the deal which was very painful just before xmas but Alan honours the discount which gives me 20 quid back. Yup still expensive compared to his own prices but it works reasonably well for me as I only have 5 miles to go for a replacement.
If things change I can take the bottle back, get my deposit back and go cheaper. The possibilities are endless...

I went into one of SW gas supplies' distributors in Cirencester,Glos. motor factors there, was £128 initial charge, didn't think that too bad, just about to get the wallet out to pay, then asked how much a refill was...they qouted me whatever the price was without the bottle surcharge which was £55 so i put the wallet away and went elsewhere...can't justify £55 a refill on a 9 litre bottle

got a bottle of pure argon for £128 10 litre & refill is £36

my supplier is probably a tad too far from you (Glos.), but if you look at my post in gas suppliers you'll see who i mean i think they fill them to 150 bar thats what my regulator says

Our small bottle is 10 litre not 9 litre and is filled to 200 bar , thats 2000 litres of gas.

I got pure argon but also do argon/co2 mix 10Lt cylinder 200bar on friday £25 for cylinder £25 refill and 20lt 200bar £40 on cylinder £35 refill a small gas company I have got co2 from the last 15 years or so

Everyone near me in bournemouth seems to only have 9l bottles or 20l.

I think jayor was taking mick a bit. They want £80 deposit and £41.56 with vat for both ontop so £145.87 for co2 / argon mix.

Autospares want £36 and deposit of £55 but again only 9l. There 20l seems ok at £60 deposit and £48 for gas so total of £129.60.

This seem like a good price?

Also can anyone tell me will my current CO2 Regulator work or will I need another one?

You will need an adaptor or new regulator as the Argon bottles have a female thread.
