What are the internal & external diameters of the pipe and glass tube as the physical dimension of any stoppers you have ? There's many on here who might have the time to play on the internet & locate them.
They look like heat resistant soft silicone sleeves rather than plastic plugs

Oh joy! Nothing like the vapour trail of stick welded stainless slag pinging off in the morning!
Was a time I could have got the stainless at mate's rates. With hindsight etc!

,We have a guy on site called Paul he does some fantastic small batch jobs in stainless .. ........ for a sensible price ( No he's not family either )

Tbh I was debating sketching up a DXF and having them lasered.
Not quite sure still if I have to channel out the underside of the tile or not?

Started looking at getting the 3 thermal panels on the roof at last. I went to get brackets a while back and they had sold out. A couple of photos and questions then.
Just been out and took a tile off:
It's nom 55mm to the peak:
& 25mm to the recess:
This typical bracket drawing shows adjustment from 44 to 54mm. I presume that bit sits down on the tile? In my case it wants to be more like 25mm though.
Do you groove the tile so this bit of the bracket sits flush and doesn't lift the tile? I'm thinking like "2" below, would be the ideal:
I can get 6 of these brackets local, could they be made to fit?
Imo the nom. 80mm below wants to be 25mm ish just to sit on the tile.

The videos I've seen they groove the underside of the tile that sits on top of the bracket.

No I just sliced off the bottom lip of the tile, you can see the bit above the bracket is flat where I cut it, it was not much maybe 1/4 of an inch?
I think I got the brackets from germany via ebay,
Iirc there are many many varities of brackets to suit all needs.
If none available to fit exactly, I would just cut and shut one to fit, then make the rest the same.

So you sliced the little nib off of under the humpbacked bridge bit? Therefore the brackets come out there rather than on the flat sectional like @Trevorleach 's?

Nothing has been removed from this tile,
@Trevorleach - I would assume, cut along red line, to leave space for the bracket.
The brackets come out where ever the wood work happens to be., But needs to be on the flat part of the tile for the bracket to work.

Thanks. Interesting comment the guy made that you need to keep pressure off of the tile below the roof hook. My idea of sinking the hook flush into that wouldn't be any good.

I made a valley out of folded galv sheet thirty years ago with just a bit of paint around the weld joints.
A quick temporary bodge that’s lasted with no deterioration.
I’ve got some secondhand ally solar rail and I don’t think that will last as long as unistrut looking at its condition after 8 years
