Snow coming down quite heavy tonight over Glasgow area...

Normal Loco's (freight & passenger) all have sanding systems.
Sand in hoppers, compressed air system to blow it onto the interface
between the wheel & track.
Wheel slip computer triggers the sanders automatically.
