Anyone else have this issue from time to time?
I haven't come across anything that doesn't snap it seems, Even Snap On ones I've seen twist like chinesium!
From personal recommendation:
Draper Expert torx bits don't snap, they eventually get a bit twisted after being abused for a long time.
Mind you, that was just the bits I bought at the time, the replacements have been OK so far, but maybe they're not the same quality as the originals, who knows.
Sealey bits were like rotten cheese, and I'd not even use them as ballast.

Re-reading the OP, it seems the request is for the larger 3/8 and 1/2" drive bits, not the smaller ones. I don't have a great selection of the larger ones, so can't recommend any particular make, except the odd one I've bought over the years for a specific job, like Elora for an Ford OHC head, and that kind of thing.
