Smith and Arrow cutting disks

Hmm, same problem here with the S&A ones - both the samples and a job lot we bought from them after the samples were used. Bit of a pain to flick them out with a scribe or similar. Wouldnt stop me buying from them again, although we get a better deal from our engineers merchants where we buy 250 each of grinding discs, slitters and flappers.

Are the 'Norton' brand of grinding/cutting discs rated generally well?

Brought a load of sa discs, 9 and 4.5 cutting and grinding. Overall I was happy but all the 1mm cutting discs centers came out. I ended up putting the discs on upside down so when you take them off they push the reinforcing disc back on. For the price you cant complain.

I havnt had the problem of the reinforcing ring coming away on mine....

I didn't get any samples from you or smith an arrow,as i still had quite a few here,used some norton 1.6mm last night on stainless ,can't say i was impressed ,maybe the thickness affected the performance?

Yes, there amazing, but as you say cost too much, and a little scary if you nick them or the job moves in the vice. They sure do flex though!
