thats used more for internal than external
anything under 4ft x 4ft should be kept to low heights look for 4ft x 6ft
id rather use wall ties or bolt locks and scafolding there safer
if you dont like heights you will be green on the top of it with white fingers

Hope the garden means a paved area rather than uneven surfaces or soft ground.
I have a cheap-ish aluminium tower - not the make mentioned in the OP’s link, but certainly nothing like the quality (or the price) of a Youngmans Boss - and would hate to use one unless it had outriggers, or was lashed to the building.
It has been OK for minor maintenance work (dry verge, barge boards, gutters, etc) on a bungalow with low pitch roof, but I’d want something a lot better if it were a taller building such as an ordinary two-storey house.
“Easy to erect and adjust”. They all say that, and it is probably true if you happen to be young and fit and at least 6’-6” tall. Being past 75 and only 5'-9" tall, I don't qualify on any of those counts, and have found it takes quite a lot of effort to heave the platform into place.
On the plus side, it is a lot nicer than working from a ladder.

I bought a Boss Youngman at our last place sold it after 10 years for more than I paid for it when we moved to our bungalow.
I've got one job that will require either my old tower or a cherry picker, cctv camera's on front gable wall need to go higher so I only need one camera to cover the front, but the porch sticks out too far for a ladder.
And of course being flat around here the wind blows and SWMBO keeps reminding me local hospital has stopped visitors, peace

That photo would make a good candidate for a 'spot the contraventions' safety poster
.Seriously though. I don't know how true it is but I was told in a training session that a large proportion of HSE involvemnt with scaffolders come from random public sending in photos. Gotta be very careful what you do and who can see it now because everyone's not only a reporter but a safety officer too.

Can't fault my 2x8 sees more use than a 4 x8 would as I'm often down side alleys or small areas working on windows and soffits.
