The Milwaukee M12 angle die grinder is another great(why didnt i buy one ages ago tool) also,thing is it has a kind of electronic clutch so at its lowest speed you put to much pressure on it it'll stop,still,great tool

This monster is all i use for any grinding/sanding jobs,its bulky bit heavy etc but its the dogs nuts,the variable speed is a big bonus

For any wire wheel work more speed is betterer. And if its the little projectiles, just think of it as free acupuncture

Basically:

I looked at a wire wheel. It said "max speed 5000rpm".
I looked at my die grinder: "20000rpm".

Having seen the "rapid unexpected disassembly" of a fast spinny thing, I didn't want to take the risk.

Katsu mains die grinder is currently £19.99 on Amazon. Variable speed but sadly minimum is 8000rpm.

Milwaukee do a variable speed M18 angle grinder. I have one but always leave it on 5. Who reads the max speed ratings of accessories anyway

I have one - it's too bulky to fit (for example) between the prop shaft and body.

I thought I'd have a look see what is available in the Bosch 12v system. Cute little angle grinder, probably not suitable for your needs but there was a JUSTPAID20 20% off discount on a refurbished unit. Before I knew what I was doing, I hit buy it now.

I got a cable a few years ago. One end went in the drill, and you could put a small brush etc in the other end.I think there was sort of chuck to hold bits.The cable would would spin inside a sleeve. I still have in the garage.
