Feeding issues especially on the smaller sets.......Super 6 is the cheapest chinese and its variable thats the main issue with it......there are others but thats another storyWe went through a load of super 6 wire a few years ago, just plain ER70S6, probably around 120kg, no problems. I personally look for better brands when I buy, but realistically, there's not a lot to go wrong with plain steel wire, unless you're going for code quality work...
If it works theres no need to change.....If it aint broke dont fix it....but dont be surprised if the next lot is rubbish...thats all reallyoops... I just stuck with it because that's what a local place sold.... bought 5 reels a couple of weeks back after I ran out on a Sunday... it'll take me a while to use those up but I'll swap to something different after :-o
Just to add to this... we often used to buy Sif TIG rod, 316L, by lack of specifying brand on purchase orders.
We tried to get a WPS qualified. Passed radiography ok... failed mechanical tests. May have been co-incidence... but I've made sure it's been Lincoln, ESAB or Bohler wire since, and qualified several WPS's since no issues...
So obviously my learning from this is, only buy top quality consumables for qualifying tests, lol
I think they only sell that in the UK....I think its rebadged but they do have a factory over thereThe Chinese stuff is ridiculously terrible
