Halfrauds is closer than machine mart. Is Sip mig 0.8 wire good quality?
Based on history, I doubt it..........but dont know who they use nowadays
Glad I asked first, used Clarke stuff before, seemed good enough. Cheers
Can't be any better/worse than Clarke, anyway
From personal experience it can be hit and miss.
I've used some rolls that have been fine but one was badly wound and caused no end of feed problems.
What wire are yous recommending?
Lincoln or Esab
Weldequip sells Lincoln
They did, it's sold out mate
could try Rapid Welding
Ive gone over to bohiler for all rods and wire lovely lovely stuff
Cheers , I'll have a look
They know how to confuse the newbie lol, a18 general steel wire ?
Yes the Bohler should be good, providing its the wire made in Hamm, Germany....I worked there for a while after Lincoln
Difference in price , or am I missing something
Edit: reel size doh... I'll try find 5kg
One's 5Kg the other 15Kg hence the difference.
I buy both ESAB and Bohler, both make great consistent wire.
Will order from rapid, thanks for the help. Emailed weldquip days ago, never got a reply.
The Chinese stuff is ridiculously terrible
is the esab stuff i quoted right stuff for mig welding, cars, 4x4 chassis etc?(not copper?) or have i ordered wrong stuff
yes, the Aristorod 12.50, its basically Mild Steel
