Single phase NVR switch wiring

Quite some time ago I bought a NVR switch and am only just thinking of fitting it to a "temporary" set-up I've been using for 40 years... There are no wiring instructions and 8 terminals! I think the mains lead in should go to terminals 13 & 23 ( I've marked 1 & 4), and feed to motor should be from 14 & 24 ( I've marked 2 & 3), but am not sure where the connections to the emergency stop should be. 3 & 4 on the emergency stop don't seem to do anything, so am guessing 1 & 2 need to be wired in - but where?

Would've thought mains goes to emergency stop 1st. You don't want the nvr still energised if you have an emergency.

Have you got a better pic of the side of the emergency stop with the diagram on?

Once you work that out the other 2 push buttons are easy, but it’s hard to make out what the diagram shows from the pic

One leg of the mains should go to 1 on the e-stop out of 2 and then into 13 on the start PB

I would assume e/stop is 1/2 NC 3/4 NO, check with multimeter.

On the emergency switch,

1-2 is normally closed, 2-3 is open regardless if the stop switch is pressed or not. The 3rd and 4th pictures are of the 2 sides of the emergency stop switch.

2-3 is open because they are contacts on different switches, 3-4 is N/O and should close when the button is pressed, it is normally used for indication that an e-stop has been pressed

T2 on ES to T13 on NVRS
Live to machine to T14 NVRS

Neutral in to T23 NVRS
Neutral to machine to T24 NVRS

Just for reference, conventional contact terminal numbering is usually

A pair of contacts marked 1 - 2, 11 - 12, 21 - 22, 31 - 32 etc. are N/C (the terminals end in 1 & 2)

and contacts marked 3 - 4, 13 - 14, 23 - 24, 33 - 34 etc. are N/O (the terminals end in 3 & 4)

The above applies to switches & auxiliary relay contacts, contactor main terminals are normally marked 1 - 2, 3 - 4, 5 - 6 etc. just to confuse things
