I am planning to replace sills/floors on my car, and colleagues say I need a simple frame which fixes to the wheel bolts, and rocks, lifting one side of the car at a time to get better access over/under for welding. I have tried to Google for such a frame but have not found anything. Do they exist? What are they called?

i dont think thatb is the one he is on about,
i think he is on about the roll frame type that you bolt to the wheel studs in place of the wheels, so you can roll it onto its side,
they work the same way but the roll frame only allows you to roll the car onto its side, and is not recommended for doing sill work as it will not hold the car ridige with the sills off

I see your point, I am working on a chassied car, so I think it won't be too bad. I probably don't want to lift it very high either.

Did I get the link wrong? when I click it I get to body roller (Y620) which Quote "- Suitable for use with 4 and 5 stud wheels. Adaptors available for 3 stud and knock off wheels."
As I read it it bolts to the wheel studs in place of the wheels?
They also do Chassis tilter (Y640) which is only good if you have a sound chassis to start with.

Yes then can be rolled with engine in ...... typically
1. Remove battery
2. Seal top of any reservoirs, brake, clutch, washer. (Cooling normally is sealed)
3. Consider what the fuel tank is going to do. 1 way probably better than the other, or drain.
4. Engine, some people just say seal filler / dip stick / breather, other recommend draining oil. I think I will be draining the oil.

I believe getting it back up right is the same as tipping over. Just start with a jack under the frame to get some height, brace the other side to stop it rolling upright too quick, as some point the C of G will cross over the balance point and the weight of the bus will rest on the wheel side then lower away.
If doing something like a car I guess the C of G may always be to the same side and the rollers will need holding on stands? These Buses are quite to heavy.
