So I was reading through the seam sealing guide (http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/seam-sealing.htm) and read the bit at the bottom about silicone, Don't worry, I haven't used silicone as seam sealer, however, the unit I rent to work on my car has a bit of a leaky roof (Corrugated steel panel roof) and I did use builders silicone sealant in an attempt to plug up the leaks, about 3 tubes worth.
Is every surface in my unit now likely to be contaminated with silicone? How does it get into the air?, I'm going to be painting the full car eventually and this is now a concern.
How would a body shop deal with a car that arrived with silicone contamination? Is panel wipe capable of shifting it?
Any advice appreciated
Graham.
