Ditto. I recently bought a KS 75-100 and if I'd known about them beforehand, I'd have bought the other sizes in that make. I still have another couple of ones to get to fill what I'd ever realistically need, so will be watching for them.I have the exact same model in 25-50 size, really nice feel IMO.
At the time of buying I thought they were linked to either Zeiss or one of the swiss brands, which made me go for it, but now I believe that the KS Eastern Germany badged stuff was made after the Zeiss facilities split, and was acquired by Feinmess Suhl GmbH, now part of Steinmeyer.

I'd gladly buy more of them. There's still a few popping up on ebay now and again.
Aye, just a poor attempt at a joke insinuating that you were getting mixed up with fag papers and tissue papers, the former often used for touching off parts. Its a packet of nose tissues, to cover my surname, not that it really brothers me.
Genuine Kindness.
I'd like to start by thanking @MattF , who bought three? If I remember correctly micrometers, and kindly sent me one and wouldn't accept even postage.
Big thank you @MattF .View attachment 284317
I bought a load of stuff of @JEZGUZ , who kindly sent me this for next to nowt.View attachment 284319Bless him.
And as for that Mr @Hood , I asked him to split a load of M&W which he didn't, and before he slung them in freebies, he asked me if I wanted them, if I sent a courrier to collect them.
So I've even more turning up soon..
This is a fantastic forum and I love you all, you keep me sane, and doing interesting things folks !
Kind wait to get my lathe here, buy my mill next month and get a concrete floor down in my workshop, and hopefully lay off the juice. But soo bored...
Miss having a workshop, it's been too long.
Have you got a 0-1”?Genuine Kindness.

When I was a student at the Kingsway in Dundee in the 80's the guy that taught us machining used fag papers, so for setting up we pinched fag papers of our colleagues who smoked, never saw an edge finder.I love how you have included the stuff in the blue packet, I must inform you however it is fag papers that old time machinists used
Yeah me too I've just got a Helios 125-150 off ebay for a good price, I need a 100-125 but I think my timing is bad, there's no bargains to be had on ebayDitto. Yes, I certainly do. I like the mental arithmetic of imperial micrometers, but metric is simpler.Have you got a 0-1”?
Only asking as I have a spareYes, I certainly do. I like the mental arithmetic of imperial micrometers, but metric is simpler.
Very kind, thanks.Only asking as I have a spare
Got one of them, well a different make, think Smiths, but excellent piece of kit.I'm gonna count this too, it's got a dial and it measures something, what's not to like?

Eddy current tachometer, I trust it far more than I do the contactless optical type.
