I bought this set off Ebay. It cost around £110, and includes gas and mini welding nozzles for super fine welding work. It really does work, but only for small jobs. Bottles cost around £15 each, and they last a while since its such a small flame. I will try to take some photos sometime.

Thanks for the advice Simon i shall go out today and give them a go, as for the prices well
Nibbler - £37 - Low cut top and some flirting and i got it for £32
Body saw - Supposed to be £45 but same again with the flirting and he knocked a whopping £10 pound of
Cut of saw - £14 was supposed to be £18
Different place:-
Die grinder - £10
Drill - £12
Impact wrench - £17
Rachet - £16

So from the first place i got some great discount (and a phone number) and from the second place i just got them at a good price

Hi guys,
Leanne i must take you next time i go on a tool shopping trip! ,im still in the process of planning my workshop to build over the summer hopefully so im working outside at the moment! Had a bit of a result yesterday,have been trying to hire a mig welder to do a small repair job on my mates gate as i had to sell my mig last year to make some money ,anyway trying to rent a mig round here just doesnt happen so i went into a local agricultural supplies/engineers place and they had a clarke 160en arc welder to clear for £35,brand new with a box of 90 assorted rods for a fiver!
It'll get me playing while i save for the portamig.

Cheered me up!

Malc can i have your workshop and tools please,im sure you dont need them!

I'm going to pm weldequip for the price of two sharp sticks for my eyes. This is something I need to make sure I NEVER see...

Pretty new to the welding game and my kit isn’t in the same league as some of you guys but it gut’s me by in my home garage (where I seem to spend most of my time when I am not at work!).

Bought an Oxy / Acetanyle welding & cutting kit from BOC (plus bottles) and before that I bought a Clarke 150Te Turbo which seems to do me ok.

I’m looking for a nice Tig at the moment to try and do some neater manifolds and intercooler pipework.

Bought two helmets (Both from BOC and gave one to a good friend who has almost put as many hours into my car as I have! – That and he can weld better than me so I call it bribery!)

you lads up there in uk seem to be sorted with some good stuff. ill get some pix of mine together and ad them next time. thy are spread in 3 shops, the black smith sop(day job) the bronze foundry (2nd job) and the lounge(while the misses is in spane)

picked this bit of kit up last week given to me by my brother inlaw it was left in the back of a unit its even got the 4 gas analyzer system ideal for tuning up the minis good job ive got a large garage as its not small not bad for nothing thou.

That 171 is identical to my TIG set except mine's painted blue and badged 'SMP'.

Traffic is so slow in Dublin you wouldn't make a cent

hi, got those boxes in killorgan, co kerry, he's still has a container full of them as far as i know, both metal and plastic, ex MOD, 4 euro each i think. my business in specialised so the down turn has'nt affected it like general metal work.
traffic is slow in dublin, half the cars and trucks seem to be off the roads, makes a nice change to be able to get around.
