I bought a Wickes one for £35 & its great! My friends use theirs often as a wet vac
I've heard they are good, quiet and some models compact the waste in the bag without losing suction so very clever . But I'm using a pretty standard numeric, similar to a Henry but bigger body, it can consume vast quantities, think they call it an Eric after Eric PicklesThose festool extractors have a deceptively strong suction, don't they!
Yesterday I noticed Lidl have air powered vacs. Are they worth having for swarf etc ?

In the end bought one of the Lidl air operated vacs. They work on the vortex principle so there is no impellor - just a clear hole from tip to bag.I'd have thought not, looks like the swarf would have to pass through the 'motor' impeller?![]()
