Well, it certainly gets warm in the container. The photo shows max measurements, not necessarily recorded at the same time! I think it was about 40% RH at peak temperature.

The two long sides are partly shaded (the container is sited between a tall hedge and a similarly tall brick wall) but the roof if clearly capturing lots of sunlight. I will be making use of this in due course when I fit solar panels, but for the moment it's being left "as-is".

Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable container lock at a sensible price? I've read a few reviews online and the cheaper (circa £30) models get a few bad reviews for rusting up or mechanisms failing.

I don't have a special container lock on mine.

I have two abloy locks.

I got them for free from a mate once, looking at the prices they seem to sell at I am glad I got them free!

They seem to hold up well in the weather, not had an issue unlocking/locking them.

Thanks but I need a container lock as there is a lock box fitted across the cargo doors.

I've been using Abus 92/80 on our containers for circa 8 years by the coast where things tend to rust up quickly, and found them to be reliable.

I had one of these (can’t remember the size I had) on my container) Fitted perfectly into the lock box which shielded it from the worst of the weather.

I’m pretty sure I ended up selling it to someone on here when I got rid of the container.

They have a used once twenty foot container where I work.
They had the option of having it sprayed inside with some anti condensation stuff, they had it done and it’s been fantastic, not one little bit of moisture any where and the coating is really thin.

We bought 2 new 20' containers last year, they were about £3.5k inc delivery and VAT

They came with anti condensation spray lining and lights.

So far no condensation issues

I put a roof on mine, makes a huge difference to the internal temperature in the sun.

Will get around to cladding the walls at some point.

Padlock ordered. Not the cheapest of locks but seems like it should last and I got £50 off using a voucher from opening a savings account.
I've used an Abus diskus padlock outside for the past 10 years and it works perfectly.

If you have power to it and it's well insulated and well sealed as in near airtight, you could fit a single room MVHR unit.
