The wedes.de seem to be the same people as the name on my paypal was pemat s c and that is the same as the weldes people, the Allweld seem to be different.

Permat was the sherman europe web site too......my guess is someone has raised an issue and maybe they won't be getting that machine anymore. Could be wrong of course....it did seem odd that they could sell what is basically the Jasic for £500 all be it without the warranty. It's also the cheapest of all the various clone machines I've seen (think there are at least half a dozen sellers out there).

Weldes.de does seem to still have stocks of the 206 ACDC albeit without pedal.

The Sherman website is a strange one though. They've/'d a whole range so I can't see it being related to this particular model.

On the pricing though:
I do think the pricing is a lot more to do with what the local market can stand rather than cost to make. Even if Jasic's claim that they upgrade/uprate some components is true, there is clearly a common underlying platform that seems to sell in some numbers . Clearly there's an improved local servicing/support centre overhead here too.

Tried mine this afternoon on stick and DC Tig. Nicer to use and better welds than my Esab Caddy.

I didn't, because everybody assured me it categorically wasn't the same machine when I first found it
Sadly I can't justify two new TIG welders, even at that price.

Dont believe everything you read on the internet I too was dissuaded by the negative comments, was a comment by a chap at a welding supplier about Jasic selling a mig in different pajamas that stuck with me and i caved one day while going over the same research for the 100th time, glad i did!

As for Shermans website dissapearing im pretty sure it didnt even exist when i bought mine last year but as i mentioned way back on page 2 i think that a company called tecweld are the real masterminds http://tecweld.pl/ can still spend your zlotys there, may be just a tiny bit trickier and more obscure to get than having a nice EU English website.

Sherman.eu is the same as weldes.de in that they are both a company called PEMAT S.C.
There seem to be a couple of other unrelated companies selling them but all seem to be Polish.

Well thanks chappies for this thread as today sees my last Jasic weld sold as offloaded all my 32 of em today at cut price so no longer run Jasics. Been interesting to be fair but after the conversation I had with one of the sales guys who didn't convince me at all and confirming the insides were identical well that kind of convinced me. I mean to sell the Sharman at that price 569 the machine must and could be made for around 200 quid so to sell them on for 1300 is crackers regardless of 5 year warranty so I'm out to better things as its stings a lot .

No offence, but I think you are a bit nuts if you just sold 32 perfectly good welders, presumably as a hefty loss, just for that reason alone.

Electronic items (and inverter welders fall into that category) cost very little to produce, most of the cost is to offset the initial R&D to design it in the first place, rather than the component cost or production process.
Everything else is going to be down to the distribution service and warranty aspects, and that will differ by region.

A top of the range miller or lincoln or lorch is likely going to cost near enough the same to build as a Jassic or a Parweld, relatively speaking. If the component costs were double it would only be a fraction of the selling price.
If Jasic are offering you good service and stand by their warranty, seems kinda crazy you would drop the machines.

I’ll admit it is a bit annoying, more so for a DIYer but at the end of the day it is just a machine and a means to an end. I’d not be losing sleep over it.

Why not set up a Sherman shop and offer a 3 year warranty with the machines?

Despite what is said I'm pretty sure nobody repairs these machines at component level...not worth the effort. They'll just be plugging in new bits as needed I reckon.

You could even get your own branding on the machines too?

Today was the first time in 8 years my Kempi welder went on the Fritz and wouldn't turn on....turned out to be a dodgy EU to UK adapter.....I did have a panic though!

I'd be shocked if not even one of the dealers on here hadn't already had that idea.
I suppose the only issue might be that they would lose any Jasic distribution rights and with Brexit looming, it could be difficult dealing with the supply routes.
Possibly Sherman only has the exclusive right to distribute in Poland and they are already being a bit naughty by posting them out to the UK.

However, nothing stopping you all getting together and organising a community group buy, negotiate a discount and bring in a pallet load.

I have a few ideas to be fair and as your probably aware I am an electronics design engineer but its getting the staff as well as of tons of other stuff but this has been a massive kick up the **** for me on a personal level. I will get the lads the EWM however I'm gonna look into things a tad deeper into
