Most people can use Google (or any search engine), I would say if they're your videos or you have personal experience of a solution, answer etc then go ahead......but just repetitively posting other people's videos can be a little tedious.

What gets me about most modern buildings etc is they seem to think that the only solution is air conditioning. Inevitably that then breaks down or is left off to save money.
Shops, cinemas you name it all the same these days. Even trains.
Remember those old fashioned things called windows? You know those things you can open to let in fresh air! Or even extractor fans to suck out the hot air. Far far cheaper than air conditioning.

But yesterday the car was blowing out hot air but the air coming in was as hot. Lol

In fairness I find some of his links quite useful. And he has never been offensive to me.
I find being called an idiot or similar far more offensive than a posted link. Some people can be quite insulting and yet get away with it.
I always try to be nice. Annoying but nice

To be honest looking at the recent posts it was way better that writing up a complete method statement of what he was describing.

What I find frustrating is its so simple for a member to block another if what they post offends or annoys them.
There are some of us who find @gaz1 Posts usefully. We will now be deprived of that. Which is annoying when it's so easy for offended members to just block him.

Christ, who said anyone's offended? My post was done in a light-hearted manner. I have no problems with gaz, & never have had.

However..., enough is as good as a feast. Youtube links are fine for substantiating a point, statement or idea. As with everything, however, moderation is key. A description is better than just dumping a load of links in response to most questions. A response can be read, & takes but mere moments to do so. A video takes time to watch, & I'm quite sure we're able to find those ourselves, if need be.

Problem is it doesn't stay as a link but downloads the viewer. Easily disabled. I would much rather see the stl viewer embedded. Very small files and more inline with the forum's mission/content/aim?.

Offended was just the word I chose.
My point was a (some) member complained to the mods about the links.
The easiest course of action is block the member posting the links.
That means we all still have a choice to click the link or not click the link.

Now we won't have that choice.
